Journal Squared is a 2.4-million-square-foot, mixed-use development adjacent to the Journal Square PATH transportation station, a key hub linking Newark, NJ to Manhattan, NY. The multi-phase project includes plans for ground floor retail and 1,843 rental apartments in three towers of up to 70 stories. The first apartment tower, completed in early 2017, features 538 units. Phase 2, completed in May 2021 includes 704 units and 12,839 square feet of ground floor retail. Phase 3 will contain 598 units in a 60-story tower and began construction in November 2021.
