Ms. Reid serves as the primary valuation point of contact for administering valuation policies and procedures, and overseeing the valuation processes, including coordinating the implementation and use of valuation management systems, data aggregation, reporting and recordkeeping processes, valuation review, and oversight of third-party appraisal selection and engagement processes.
By applying specialized intellectual real estate investing and appraisal knowledge in negotiating valuations and managing relationships with external third-party vendors, MAI appraisers and valuation consultants, Tara safeguards fair practices and compliance with the defined valuation process of the portfolio. Tara implemented the system responsible for generating quarterly real estate asset performance reporting for the company’s open-end, commingled funds and separate accounts.
Prior to her current position at National, Ms. Reid’s previous roles and responsibilities at National have included underwriting and evaluating potential and existing real estate deals and overseeing and managing a portfolio of assets. Before joining National in 2002, she was an Associate in Andersen Corporate Finance, LLC’s Real Estate Capital Markets Group. She was responsible for structuring complex transactions, preparing investment materials, financial modeling, and researching and analyzing financial information, industry trends, and market conditions. Prior to, Ms. Reid worked in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation in Chicago, IL as a Corporate Finance Analyst, where she performed extensive valuation analysis for Fortune 500 companies.
Ms. Reid earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with general honors from the University of Chicago.
