Mr. Verdi serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of National Real Estate Advisors and is a member of the Management Committee. In this role, he provides strategic leadership across the firm’s investment platform and helps guide enterprise-wide initiatives as part of National’s senior executive team.
As Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Verdi is responsible for developing and executing National’s investment strategy, overseeing all activities related to sourcing, underwriting, and managing institutional-quality commercial real estate investments. He leads the firm’s investment operations, chairs Investment Committee discussions, and works closely with partners, operators, and clients to ensure disciplined portfolio construction and long-term performance.
One of National’s longest-tenured leaders, Mr. Verdi has been with the firm since its inception, previously serving as Managing Director of Equity Investments under National’s predecessor, NEBF Real Estate. His deep familiarity with the firm’s mission, investment philosophy, and growth over more than two decades provides critical continuity and perspective as National enters its next phase of evolution.
Prior to joining National, Mr. Verdi held investment and real estate roles with GE Capital Real Estate and gained investment banking experience at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co. and Prudential Securities—experience that informs his rigorous approach to evaluating complex investment opportunities.
Mr. Verdi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral and Social Sciences from the University of Maryland and holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from George Mason University.
