Working as part of the Portfolio and Asset Management team, Mr. McSpadden manages a select portfolio of highly complex and diverse real estate assets, focusing on preserving and enhancing the value and risk-adjusted return of investments and communicating respective results. He also supports National’s Investment team in sourcing and structuring equity and debt investments executing the firm’s investment strategy with a focus on enhancing investment value and returns.
Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Mr. McSpadden was a Director of Acquisitions at Clark Enterprises in Bethesda, MD, responsible for leading the underwriting process, including the review and creation of extensive financial models to analyze debt, return waterfalls and sensitivity tests. He was also responsible for sourcing and structuring multifamily and office joint venture investments.
Mr. McSpadden earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Columbia University, and both a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Development and a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School.
