Mr. Hudnut identifies specific equity and debt investment opportunities in institutional quality real estate, with a focus on development or redevelopment properties which vary widely in location, product type and typically involve complex finance structures.
Peter has experience with large mixed-use projects in major urban markets to help create an exciting combination of pedestrian-oriented retail, new residential rental apartments, office, hotel, parking, and state-of-art digital signage. Prior to his current role, Peter began working for National’s subsidiary, National Real Estate Development, LLC, as a Development Manager in March 2018, overseeing the day-to-day development activities of a 1.8 million mixed use project in downtown Los Angeles, working closely with senior professionals to expedite and assure project completion according to specifications. He participated in the selection of financial sources, negotiated legal documents, architectural and construction contracts, and oversaw their execution.
Prior to joining National, Peter worked at The Ratkovich Company in Los Angeles, CA, where he served as a Development Manager and Acquisitions Associate. While there, he was responsible for the oversight of mixed-used investments such as The San Pedro Public Market located on the Los Angeles waterfront and The Bloc project. Prior to that, Peter worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. as an Associate, Investment Management, managing over $500 million in assets and a new business development initiative. He was a member of the United States National Water Polo Team for twelve years, is a two-time Olympian, and Olympic Silver Medalist.
Mr. Hudnut earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
