Working closely with the Chief Investment Officer, bringing an extensive institutional quality real estate background, Mr. Freko actively pursues equity and debt investment opportunities with a focus on sustainable property development or redevelopment transactions that vary in location and product type, and typically involve complex finance structures that include originating, structuring, and underwriting activities.

With client expectations in mind, Mr. Freko has maintained relationships with deal sponsors, lenders, and other industry members while making recommendations and remaining engaged in investment closings, and pre-development and operational plans.

Prior to joining the firm in September 2008, Mr. Freko was responsible for financing and capitalizing development and value-add projects for Draper and Kramer, Inc. a Chicago-based development company. Prior to Draper and Kramer, he worked for GE Capital Real Estate Financial Services as a Vice President, Originations responsible for sourcing and structuring joint venture investment opportunities across all property types.

Mr. Freko holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
