Mr. Fenner works closely with the President and CEO and the Chief Operating Officer in support of communicating all fund portfolio performance results and investment activities to National’s clients. He serves as Portfolio Manager for National’s open-end, core-plus fund.

Mike managed a portfolio of assets at National for over 10 years before assuming his current role. Prior to joining National, Mike led private sector master planning, community comprehensive land use planning, and land entitlement efforts for The Cox Company, which is a professional urban planning, civil engineering, and real estate development consulting firm which provided services to both private and public sector clients. He has extensive experience in retail planning and development, asset management, senior housing, market analysis, and land use planning for complex mixed-use and master planned communities. He has previously served as an Adjunct Instructor in real estate development at the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture and Darden School of Business.

Mr. Fenner earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the College of William and Mary and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Virginia.
