Mr. Malek-Madani uses his background in both economics and real estate to lead the Research & Analysis group. He works closely with both the Investment and Portfolio and Asset Management groups to provide analytical and research support.
He oversees the Research and Analysis group in developing cash flow models, which are integral to National's project underwriting. He also works to develop tools to evaluate portfolio level performance as well as analyze and project future returns and trends within client’s portfolios. Mr. Malek-Madani provides important analytical support to National’s Asset Management Group and is directly involved in the on-going management of several equity and debt investments.
Mr. Malek-Madani also oversees National’s economic and market research. He uses his extensive real estate and economic expertise to analyze market trends throughout the country. He examines national, local and submarket activity and ensures National has access to the most up to date and accurate analysis.
Mr. Malek-Madani is a native of Silver Spring, Maryland and graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Math-Economics. Additionally, Mr. Malek-Madani earned a Master of Arts degree in Economics from George Washington University. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute.
