Boston, Massachusetts
Local Boston developer R.F. Walsh and National have partnered to re-develop the dilapidated, original Boston College High School complex in Boston’s South End neighborhood. The project has accelerated the pace of renewal in the neighborhood, becoming a popular location to live due to its proximity to the Boston University medical campus and downtown Boston. National relied on the experience of its partner to execute such a complicated project, consisting of the rehabilitation of an historic, existing structure into condominiums, a new apartment structure and below-grade parking to be shared by both. R.F. Walsh relied on National to provide equity for the apartments and mezzanine debt to capitalize the condominiums. National’s experience with mixed-use, historic projects was instrumental in making this complex development possible.
