August 9, 2010 (Washington, DC) National Real Estate Advisors is pleased to announce the addition of Matthew D. Simpson and Darob Malek-Madani to its corps of real estate analysts.
Matt comes to National from the Tysons Corner, Virginia office of TD Bank, where he was a successful portfolio manager in the bank’s commercial real estate group. He underwrote and managed a diverse portfolio of the bank’s commercial real estate loans totaling approximately $500 million across various property types. Matt will be working with senior members of National’s Equity, Debt and Portfolio Management groups on various assignments including new investment underwriting, portfolio analysis and return reporting. With his commercial real estate banking background, Matt brings important expertise in financial modeling and underwriting to his duties at National.
Darob Malek-Madani has also joined National as a real estate analyst. Darob is a recent graduate of Brown University, where he received his undergraduate degree in Economics. He is the younger brother of Behzad Malek-Madani, who after three years as a Real Estate Analyst at National, recently left to pursue a law degree at New York University. Darob will follow in his brother’s footsteps as an important part of National’s team of analysts who evaluate new investment opportunities as well as support portfolio management operations.
